My Marc Chagall inspiration...

“The Wedding”

My newest piece is inspired by Marc Chagall and my beloved family.

My son and daughter-in-law got married in September of 2012. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding in a beautiful place - a little Island off the coast of NY called “Fire Island’ where there are no cars. You can only reach it by ferry. My daughter-in-law and family, who are from NYC, had been going there for 40 or so years. Her parents met there so it was a very special place for them.

Unfortunately, my father who was so excited about the wedding, didn’t make it. He passed away a few months before the big day. That is him playing the violin up above. Inspired by Chagall, my son and daughter-in-law, and my dad, I created this painting called, “The Wedding”.
